This year Holy Family Council #6831 will execute at least 17 Faith in Action program activities, including Food for Families, Helping Hands, Special Olympics, Rosary, Vocation Support, and many others. We will also hold two meetings each month, our Council Business Meeting on the second Wednesday of each month and an Officers Meeting/Monthly Social which will be moving around. Watch the calendar!

In addition to these planned activities, all Brother Knights are encouraged to take the initiative to put their faith into action through ad hoc fraternal, charitable, or prayer activities as the spirit moves them. While Charity is a major part of what the Knights do, we are also a Fraternal organization dedicated to strengthening our bonds with each other, with our Parish community, and with Christ. As the Lord said, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Lastly, this is a volunteer organization, and for many of us time is a rare and valuable commodity. The officers and I will do everything we can not to waste your time. To the extent possible all events and signups will be available through the calendar and/or the flocknote system, so please make sure you are familiar with how those work. Meeting participation is encouraged as often as you are able. There are a couple of things I am asking every Brother Knight to commit to:

1. Attend the Memorial Mass for Fallen Brothers – expected to be scheduled sometime in November
2. Show up for at least one Faith in Action Program Activity this year.
