Saint John the Apostle is truly blessed to have an Adoration chapel, where our parishioners and guests can spend time with the Lord in prayer and Adoration.
The Blessed Sacrament is normally exposed for 72 hours every week at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, at the corner of N King Street and Union Street NW.
Adoration starts on Tuesdays at 8:00 AM, concluding with Benediction and reposition on Fridays at 8:00 AM.
To volunteer for one or more weekly hours of Adoration, or to enlist as a substitute, please visit our Adoration system at https://stjohnleesburg.weadorehim.com/
If you have questions about Eucharistic Adoration, please email coordinator Mariano Buitrago at [email protected].
While our ministry is blessed to count on over 200 volunteers, we are always looking out for more volunteers who can commit to a regular hour (or more) per week, to keep Jesus company.
Our goal is to have between 2-3 adorers per time slot, as we cannot leave the Blessed Sacrament alone while it is exposed. There are certain hours where we have fewer than 2 committed adorers, or no committed adorers. Please visit the schedule to see the current needs: https://stjohnleesburg.weadorehim.com/.
“Jesus has made Himself the Bread of Life to give us life. Night and day, He is there. If you really want to grow in love, come back to the Eucharist, come back to that Adoration.”
