Where are you located?

Can you give me directions to St John's?

From downtown Leesburg on Market Street, turn north onto King Street near the Courthouse. Drive about three blocks (past the Chapel on your left) and turn right onto Oakcrest Manor Drive across from Union Cemetery/Ida Lee Park, then turn right into out parking lot.

Parish Registration

How do I join St. John's?

New Member registration forms are in the Narthex of the Church. There is a return box on the table also. They can also be found in the Parish Office. You must be within the boundaries to join.

I live in Ashburn. Why can't I register at St. John's?

You have to be within the boundaries of the parish you want to register with. Boundaries are set by the Arlington Diocese. Ashburn and parts of Landowne are within the boundaries of St. Teresa's. You have to live within the Leesburg boundaries to register at St. John's.

I live in Leisure World in Leesburg, why do I have to be in St. Teresa's boundaries and not St. John's?

Boundaries are set by the Arlington Diocese.

Mass Times

When are the masses held in the Little Church?

Masses are held in the Little Church on the corner of King Street and Union Street every weekday (Monday through Friday) at 8:30 a.m., and Latin Extraordinary Form :Sundays at 10:30 A.M.

What are the times of your Sunday masses?

Saturday Vigil mass is at 5:30 p.m. The Sunday masses are at 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 12:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. (Spanish). Daily masses (Monday-Friday) are held in the Chapel at 8:30 am and in the Main Church at noon.


What is the procedure to get a baby baptized?

First, you must be a registered member of St John's (forms are available at the parish office). You must register for the Baptism Preparation class, which is held once a month at the Parish Center. Call the office and fill out (verbally) the registration form for Baptism, and have the godparents provide a sponsorship certificate from their parish. Baptisms are held on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.

How do I register my child(ren) for Religious Education Classes?

Under the Religious Education tabs you will find information and forms.

I would like to get married at St. John's. How can I arrange this?

Usually, weddings take place on Saturdays at 12 noon and 2:00 p.m.. Call the parish office (703) 777-1317 to set up an appointment for an interview.

If a family member is homebound, how can I arrange for Holy Communion at home?

A Eucharistic Minister will be pleased to bring Communion to your homebound person on a weekly basis, even if they are only temporarily prevented from getting to church.  Contact Michele Litton at  (703) 669-6255   or Toni D'Agostino at   (703) 771-7762  to schedule Communion to the Homebound or Nursing Homes.

Can you translate the Latin sayings on the walls of the main church?

The frieze circles the nave with beautiful Latin quotes from the Gospel of St. John. The frieze is painted in traditional gold leaf. At the beginning and end of each passage is the chapter and verse quotation reference.
